Project description

This cinematic movie is a very special one – the title may give a hint: The whole film team consists of deaf people. Watching the movie should be fun for both deaf and non-deaf people, so there has to be music and sound. To let deaf people feel the music through vibrations the cinematic version of the music has increased bass frequencies on certain positions.
Being a guitar player I wanted to use as many guitar sounds as possible. In addition I recorded some drums and a cello played by Ksenija Fedosenko to add variety and organic elements to the 1 hour soundtrack.

The movie aired in many cinemas in Germany. In 2014 the music was nominated for the SWR ‚Rolf-Hans Müller Preis für Filmmusik‘.

The whole soundtrack is available on bandcamp: https://felixbarbarino.bandcamp.com/album/lautlose-flucht-ost
